Parents’ Night Out – Friday, 12/15/23 – Sign up HERE.
Doors will open Friday evening at 5:55 pm and children need to be picked up by 10 pm. (You are welcome to come earlier for pick up). Ranch Hope in Alloway is having a Live Nativity on this Friday night and with your permission we want to take your kids who are Age 4 – Grade 6. We have secured school buses and professional school bus drivers. Nothing to worry about – we will have plenty of supervision which includes our paid staff of Dawn Jeffers and Erika Bickhart along with additional amazing volunteers … your kids will have a blast seeing and hearing the Christmas story!!! For most of the live nativity, the kids stay on the bus and drive thru a display and hear the story being played thru the sound system. At one spot, for a few minutes, the kids will get out and walk thru a small horseshoe past some live animals and the manger scene and then get back on the bus. It is really special! For children whose parents have given permission – kids will leave from Sharptown at 7:15 pm and return by 8:45 pm. Before heading to the nativity, we will have some high energy games and Christmas crafts. When we return, the kids will have a snack, watch a Christmas movie and play some more games. For children in our nursery, they will remain at Sharptown Church for a fun evening under the supervision of our paid nursery staff, Bonnie Merrylees and Lisa Schmid, as well as other fantastic volunteers.
