My name is Emily Heckman, and I am the new Director of Youth Ministry here at Sharptown.

My husband Phil and I have been married for 10 years and we have two children, Ethan and Haylie. We are currently living in Fairfield Twp, NJ but we will be moving closer in the coming months! Phil works as a landscaper for Dutch Neck Landscaping in Hopewell Twp, my family’s business. Ethan and Haylie attend Bridgeton Christian School and are excited to start back to school. Ethan is going into 4th grade and Haylie into 2nd grade.

I am currently taking courses at Lancaster Bible College and pursuing a degree in Biblical Ministry. I have lived in the Bridgeton area my whole life, but I have traveled to Europe, Canada, Puerto Rico, and visited nearly half of the United States! I love to travel!

• A favorite pastime of mine is watching football.
• I wear my Eagles’ green proudly!
• I love listening to music, playing guitar and singing.
• I frequently break out into song or dance for no apparent reason, just thought I should warn you!

I love being around people, especially teenagers! Their energy and excitement for life is infectious! My desire here at Sharptown is to help our youth develop a closer relationship with Jesus Christ through study and service, a core group of Christian friends, and a confidence to share their faith with others!

My prayer is that we raise up a generation of teenagers who seek first His kingdom and who proudly proclaim Christ’s love to the world! I can’t wait to begin at Sharptown and ask for your prayers as we begin our ministry here!
