Beth Caulfield joined the Sharptown Team in July, 2017. She serves as the Campus Pastor at Sharptown North and Associate Pastor at Sharptown Main Campus. She focuses on outreach to the community, tending to the spiritual needs and shepherding the discipleship of our congregants. Beth’s heart is for helping grow people’s relationships with the Lord and assisting them in developing their gifts to serve others.

Beth came to Sharptown from serving on the bishop’s staff of The United Methodist Church of Greater New Jersey as the Director of Small Groups and Team Vital for the Conference. In that capacity she was charged with developing turn-around spiritual leaders (clergy and laity) and growing church vitality in the pursuit of making disciples of Jesus Christ. Under her leadership Greater New Jersey church participation in small groups grew in just three years from 42% participation to 82%. In that same time period, over 100 churches participated in Team Vital, a strategic action-planning tool developed by a Conference staff team that she led. Churches continue to implement new, growing and effective ministries as a result of their Team Vital experiences. She also previously served as pastor of North Hunterdon United Methodist Church.

Before becoming clergy, Beth served for 6 years as a full-time volunteer Teaching Director for Community Bible Study International, leading teams of small group leaders and classes internationally, in New Jersey and in the New Jersey State prison system. She spent 10+ years as a Human Resources Professional for various Fortune 50 companies. She earned her MDIV from Drew Theological School and a BA in Communications from the University of Pennsylvania. Married to Tom for 26 years, they have three children, TJ (21), Amber (18) and Camille (8).

She is a believer in prioritizing her life around God first, family second and ministry third. A former collegiate Division 1 athlete, exercise remains important to her spiritual, physical and mental sanity, but like everyone else – she is challenged to keep up this discipline! She also enjoys good food, travel and movies.  Born in Alabama, it is hard to know her long without realizing her pride in her Southern roots!
