Sharptown Day to Pray

With our series on parables coming to an end, we will spend the final two weeks on a topic that we find mentioned around 650 times in the Bible:  Prayer.

As we focus on prayer, it seems right to set aside a “Day to Pray” this fall to pray for the church, the upcoming events and our students who will be returning to school.

On Sunday, September 6th, we will be setting aside 5am-12am (midnight) in Wesley Chapel as our Day to Pray. The chapel will be set up with prayer areas that will feature different events and ministries to pray for. The day will be broken up into hour long time slots for you to come and lift up these areas in prayer.

Next week we will start taking sign-ups for the hour time slots so that we can ensure every hour is filled; however, if on that day you would like to come pray for an hour and have not signed up, you are more than welcome.

SPECIAL NOTE: The hours of 10am-11am, and 12:30pm-1:30pm will be designated hours for family and group prayer centered around our students returning to school. We encourage you to set aside this time to bring your family or friends to Wesley Chapel and pray over your students.

We know that we serve a God who is moving and active, a God who is faithful to hear our prayers as we are reminded by the apostle John:

“This is the confidence we have in approaching God:
that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.”
